DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries Instructor Course

The DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries course deals with the recognition, first aid, and prevention of injuries or illness from a variety of potentially hazardous marine life. Topics covered include jellyfish, fish with venomous spines, blue-ringed octopus, sea snakes, fish poisonings and many more. The theory and video presentations are supported by practical exercises in bandaging, bleeding control, pressure-immobilisation technique and revision of CPR.

The DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries Instructor Course is a half day program that covers the standards and procedures for conducting this fun program, while providing the instructor candidate with the theory and techniques for teaching the program.

The DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries Instructor Course can be scheduled on demand, and complements the DAN Oxygen Instructor Course.

Prerequisites

To participate in theDAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries Instructor Course participants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a Scuba Instructor with an Accredited Agency (or Assistant Instructor with certain Approved Agencies)
  • Be a DAN Asia Pacific member
